Opened in 2016 as part of Downtown’s landmark Millennium Tower/Burnham Building development, the Steps became an instant success. The Downtown Boston Alliance activates it with exciting year-round programming ranging from fashion runway exhibitions to music festivals and organization’s beloved annual Doggone Halloween Costume Parade. Located atop of the Downtown Crossing subway stop and adjacent to several department stores, the Steps are at the heart of life in Downtown.
