Old City Hall Plaza

A stop along the Freedom Trail, Old City Hall Plaza adjoined Boston’s seat of government from 1865-1969, a period of dramatic growth and change in the city. Old City Hall itself, with its dramatic columns and arches, is one of Boston’s few remaining examples of French Second Empire-style architecture. The plaza includes a statue of Benjamin Franklin along with patio seating.
