Sophie Larbalestier
Downtown Activation Assistant
Sophie Larbalestier joined the Downtown Boston BID in June of 2023. As the Downtown Activation Assistant for the Summer & Fall of 2023, Sophie is here to support a wide range of organizational, strategic priorities which will include staffing events and public programming, researching a new scale of economic development, designing communications and marketing techniques, and completing other special projects and assignments.
Prior to joining the BID, Sophie has interned with The Philanthropy Workshop, an organization that inspires large philanthropic givers to achieve their greatest impact through education and events, alongside the social service organization, Samaritans Inc., which promotes mental health awareness and support globally. Additionally, she is a member of Boston College’s Campus Activities Board where she initiates and leads diverse, equitable, and inclusive events for BC’s student body.
Originally from Los Angeles, but in Boston to complete her undergraduate education, Sophie will receive her bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Managing for Social Impact in May of 2024 from Boston College. In her spare time, she loves to explore Boston, discover new restaurants and artists, and go for hikes or bike rides.
